In 2010, the inaugural JFVP forensic accounting lab was held at Gonzaga University. Since that time, students have worked in teams under the supervision of anti-fraud professionals and law enforcement to assist financial fraud victims in cases where a full forensic accounting investigation would otherwise be too costly and time consuming.

In 2023, the Justice for Fraud Victims Project (JFVP) was established through a partnership between UMD Smith, the Prince George’s County Financial Crimes Unit, and the State’s Attorney’s Office. The initiative involves students in the examination of financial fraud cases, focusing on protecting vulnerable groups, in cooperation with local law enforcement personnel.

Siena College’s Center for Anti-fraud Resources and Examination Services (CARES) is a community-engaged, interdisciplinary collaboration between the School of Business and the School of Liberal Arts as part of the Criminal Justice Studies Forensics Track.  The faculty and students involved with CARES offer pro bono fraud prevention and financial crime investigation services to small businesses, nonprofits, and vulnerable individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford such services.

SUNY Old Westbury is a liberal arts university located on Long Island, NY.  The Master's in Forensic Accounting program, is ranked 3rd in the country, (Accounting.com), and students from this program are regularly recruited into Big Four firms, the IRS, and other prestigious firms.  Dr. David Glodstein, head of their JFVP chapter, was awarded educator of the year by the ACFE in 2022.

Central Connecticut State University started a Justice for Fraud Victims program in 2023 with a partnership between the Accounting and Criminology & Criminal Justice Departments. The idea was to connect ACT students with CRM students to work with our partner agencies on financial crime investigations.
